SWsoft Uses IBM DB2 9 Software
April 2, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Virtualization and automation software provider SWsoft (swsoft.com) announced on Monday that its flagship software, Virtuozzo, now interacts and operates with IBM DB2 9 software, enabling enterprises to improve flexibility and increase utilization rates in their data centers. Virtuozzo operating system server virtualization software has passed IBM's high standards of testing and validation for DB2 9 and has achieved "Ready for IBM DB2 data server software" status.
ÂÂ
"Our operating system server virtualization product is uniquely qualified to handle database and business intelligence workloads because of its low overhead and highly scalable architecture," says Serguei Beloussov, CEO for SWsoft. "IBM's rigorous testing process assures customers they can put the full power of Virtuozzo technology to work on their production servers."
ÂÂ
The Ready for IBM DB2 Data Server Software program is designed for independent software vendors and solution integrators to validate their products for compatibility, stability and operation with IBM DB2 9. The process ensures that Virtuozzo has been proven to easily and successfully integrate with the IBM DB2 data server software.
The company says its SWsoft Virtuozzo helps to enable the virtualization of IBM DB2 data server based solutions with no performance overhead penalty and can be used to consolidate IBM DB2 databases onto fewer physical servers.
SWsoft recently announced it has partnered with MIVA Small Business Solutions to resell MIVA Merchant e-commerce software and deliver integrated support for MIVA in the SWsoft Plesk control panel.ÂÂ
