August 21, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Information availability solutions provider SunGard (sungard.com) announced on Tuesday it has completed the previously announced acquisition of Houston, Texas-based managed services provider VeriCenter (vericenter.com). The transaction is not expected to have a material impact on SunGard's financial results.

The acquisition of VeriCenter enhances SunGard Availability Services' managed service delivery capabilities while adding seven data centers throughout the US that geographically complement its existing US facilities.

VeriCenter will become part of SunGard Availability Services, the pioneer and leading provider of information availability and business continuity services.

By acquiring VeriCenter, SunGard increases its economies of scale, as well as broadens the company's service offerings of dedicated and shared resources designed for specific customer information availability needs.
