Rackspace, New York Top Reliability

June 18, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web analytics firm Netcraft (netcraft.com) announced on Friday that Rackspace Managed Hosting (rackspace.com) and New York Internet (nyi.net) were the most reliable Web hosting companies in May 2007. Following close behind were DataPipe, Verio, GoDaddy and Kattare.

With this month's results, Rackspace and New York Internet continue to reinforce their track records as industry leaders in reliability, says Netcraft. Three of the 10 most most reliable hosts run their Web sites on Linux, two on Windows, three on FreeBSD and one on Solaris.

Rackspace led the monthly reliability survey six times in 2006 and twice so far in 2007. In May, the company announced $70 million in financing to support future hardware purchases and expansion of its data center network. New York Internet makes its 10th appearance in  this list since 2003.

Netcraft recently announced that its June 2007 survey gained responses from 122,000,635 sites, an increase of 3.97 million sites from the May survey.
