R1Soft Adds Data Protection Support
March 15, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Disk-based backup solution developer Righteous Software (r1soft.com) announced on Wednesday that its line of continuous data protection solutions now support implementation on servers powered by Ubuntu and Debian Linux distributions. The CDP software is also now integrated with the DirectAdmin Web control panel.
The increased platform support continues R1Soft's goal of making its innovative CDP solutions available to a wider assortment of users, says the company. Support for Ubuntu and Debian Linux distributions has been in development for the past four months and the company hopes to add support for additional platforms in the coming months.
In addition, R1Soft also provides an add-on integration module for the DirectAdmin site control panel, enabling users of DirectAdmin to access CDP features within their control panel interface.
"We have continually worked to increase the reach and compatibility of our data backup products, and providing support for Ubuntu and Debian platforms is a vital component of this initiative," says David Wartell, founder and CEO of R1Soft. "These two platforms are used by thousands of Linux servers globally and as the only provider of continuous data protection solutions for the Linux market, it is important we serve these users."
R1Soft also recently announced it is offering its line of continuous data protection applications on a site license partnership basis, designed to enable select companies to become a partner of the company's data protection solutions for a minimal investment.ÂÂ
