OpSource to Host SaaS Summit 2008

December 4, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Software as a service delivery provider OpSource (opsource.net) announced on Tuesday that it will host its third annual SaaS Summit 2008 (opsource.net/saas/summit2008) conference dedicated to helping software as a service and Web 2.0 companies maximize their success in the on-demand world. The conference will take place from February 27 to 29, 2008 at The Westin St. Francis in San Francisco, California.

OpSource says that the SaaS Summit 2008 event will focus on how successful companies must not only think like Web companies, but also make the right platform choices and embrace Web services to build out and extend their offerings.

Some of the topics that will be discussed throughout the event include what has to be done and by whom to accelerate the growth of Web application service delivery, platform choices, the potential of enterprises getting into Web 2.0 and the difficulties behind on-demand, on-boarding and billing. SaaS Summit 2008 will provide an opportunity for executives from SaaS startups, transitioning software and Web companies and established SaaS providers to explore, debate and share their experiences and recommendations for growing on-demand businesses, says the company.

"In 2008 Web services and exciting platform opportunities will enable on-demand companies to jump into hyper-speed," says Treb Ryan, CEO of OpSource. "They will be able to save as much as seventy percent of their development time through the use of Web services and reach millions of potential users by making the right platform choices. But with incredible opportunity comes increased risk. SaaS Summit '08 will help companies make the best choices for their success and continue its tradition as a leading forum for advancing the on-demand industry."

Last week, WhiteNoise Systems chose OpSource On-Demand to deliver SecureNOW!, a new on-demand application that protects data at the point of creation, eliminating exposure of sensitive data due to incidents like thefts of laptop and desktop computers.
