Nexthaus Supports Open-Xchange
December 13, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Nexthaus (nexthaus.com), the SyncML technology unit of Web hosting provider Hostopia.com (hostopia.com) said Wednesday it is collaborating with open source collaboration software provider Open-Xchange (open-xchange.com) to enable Open-Xchange Server 5 to sync contacts, calendars and tasks with Blackberry devices.
Nexthaus's SyncJe for Blackberry will enable Open-Xchange customers to wirelessly synchronize data from BlackBerry devices with the server. The SyncJe application installs directly onto the Blackberry devices, allowing the wireless exchange of stored personal information management data with the Open-Xchange server.
"Open-Xchange's vision is to bring new levels of productivity to the underserved SMB market through product leadership and technology partnerships," says Oliver Nachtrab, vice president products of Open-Xchange. "Due to our standard based smart collaboration architecture it was easy to integrate the Nexthaus solution from Hostopia into our latest email and PIM services, providing an exciting new set of services for our customers. These services are available anywhere, anytime and with any Blackberry device, all for a compellingly low cost."
SyncJe is available for $39.95, and can be downloaded directly to the Blackberry device from the Open-Xchange website.
