(The Hosting News) – Network Solutions recently announced the launching of an online drawing contest to increase awareness and raise funds for the March of Dimes. The contest will be open to anyone who would like to use an easy online drawing board to create a picture in support of the March of Dimes. Participants are encouraged to invite friends and family to vote online for the best drawing. In regards to the contest, Network Solutions will donate a $1 per vote for the winning drawing with all proceeds going to the March of Dimes in the “artist’s” name.

In the United States, 1 in 8 babies is born prematurely, and 1 in 10 will end up in a neonatal intensive care unit. Prematurity is the leading cause of infant mortality in the first year of life. The March of Dimes is focused on improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.

“As a father of five children, I understand the importance of helping women sustain healthy pregnancies and preventing birth defects,” said Tim Kelly, CEO and President of Network Solutions. “This online drawing contest is a fun and easy way to support the March of Dimes and their efforts to prevent birth defects, premature births and infant mortality.”

No artistic skills are needed to create an online picture; participants simply use an online drawing tool that follows the movements of the mouse. The contest is open to anyone, whether they participate in a walk-a-thon or not. Drawing submissions will be accepted from March 22nd through April 2nd. Voting on the submitted drawings will be open until April 9th with the winner announced on Wednesday, April 14th.
