April 30, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Content delivery network provider Limelight Networks (limelightnetworks.com) announced on Monday it has expanded its executive team with the appointment of David Hatfield as senior VP of worldwide sales, marketing and services and Hong Xia as VP of worldwide technical services.

Hatfield's responsibilities at Limelight will include leading the company's global sales and marketing teams as well as directing its product management, technical services and customer care organizations.

Reporting to Hatfield, Xia will be responsible for delivering technical services during pre- and post-sale activity for Limelight's content delivery network. Xia will also take an active role in understanding and defining rapidly evolving market and customer requirements, says Limelight.

Before joining Limelight, Hatfield was VP and general manager of Symantec Professional Services for the Americas. Xia previously led the Americas Practices Organization for Symantec Professional Services, which focused on the strategy and execution of Symantec's key service lines.

Earlier this month, Limelight signed on to provide content delivery network services for tvCompass' Smart Remote wireless handheld device.
