Layered Tech Hosts Web2.0 Music Site
April 27, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Grid hosting provider Layered Technologies (layeredtech.com) announced on Thursday that its The GridLayer Virtual Private Data Center - Silver Layer service has been selected by Web 2.0 start up Mixsic.com (mixsic.com).
The TGL-VPD solution uses AppLogic to let users package an entire application or service into a logical entity and manage it as a single system. AppLogic captures and operates on the logical structure of the application. This approach also makes it very easy and quick to assemble, deploy, monitor, control and troubleshoot applications visually in a browser, says the company.
"Companies like Mixsic.com, who use TGL-VPD are better simply better equipped to play in the Web2.0 space. They will attract the investment they need because they can concentrate on being nimble, staying ahead of competitors and building dynamic social networks," says Todd Abrams, president of Layered Technologies. "Managing infrastructure comfortably becomes a lower priority background issue."
Layered Tech and grid and utility computing services provider 3Tera recently launched the virtual private data centers service deployed by Mixsic, designed for software-as-a-service and Web 2.0 companies.
