Intermedia.NET Offers Email Solution

April 2, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Email and Web hosting provider Intermedia.NET(intermedia.net) announced on Monday it has launched a Microsoft Exchange 2007 outsourcing solution for mid-sized companies.

Intermedia.NET says this is the first outsourced Exchange solution of its kind and will enable midsized companies to adopt Exchange 2007 without the high costs of an in-house deployment. Industry analysts say that 80 percent of midmarket companies will benefit if they outsource Microsoft Exchange and Intermedia.NET calculates that a typical midsized company will save over $100,000 dollars by avoiding an in-house deployment and outsourcing it instead.

"Intermedia.NET is proud to be the world's first company allowing enterprises to outsource Exchange 2007," says Serguei Sofinski, Intermedia.NET CEO. "Running on an enterprise-grade platform with EMC storage, any midsized company looking at Exchange 2007 can now consider outsourcing instead of a costly on-premise deployment. With Exchange 2007, the business case for a hosted solution is an extremely strong one."

Customers of Intermedia.NET have a choice of either Enterprise plans, which include clustered, SAN-based Exchange solutions, or Custom Enterprise plans, which offer dedicated Exchange servers for their organizations. Costs start at $1,295 per month for 100 users.

Intermedia.NET also recently announced it has launched a new promotion offering Web hosts and other IT providers a cash bonus for signing up hosted Exchange seats.
