Hosting Transformation Summit 2008 Registration Opens, at Tier1 Research

New York, New York - (The Hosting News) - July 1, 2008 - Hosting industry professionals are invited to register for Tier1 Research (T1R)'s Hosting Transformation Summit 2008, scheduled for September 15-17, 2008.

The conference focuses on the economics of the hosting and Internet infrastructure markets and how, by appreciating today's management challenges and understanding the long-term evolution of the sector, a hosting, datacenter or Internet application provider can position itself to succeed. Participating companies include firms across the datacenter value chain, including managed and dedicated hosting players, colocation companies, power and cooling companies, and investors that are actively involved in the industry. Enterprise IT executives who depend on outsourced services also participate as the forum presents an opportunity to gain greater insight into the outsourced datacenter and hosting markets, network with executive peers, and gain insight into the challenges and opportunities that are shaping the future of the industry.

This exclusive program will examine the future evolution of the IT hosting industry and will discuss how hosting vendors and enterprises can optimize their Internet infrastructure partners. The 2008 Hosting Transformation Summit is taking place September 15-17, 2008 at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Daniel Golding, Vice President and Research Director of Tier1 Research and Conference Chair noted, ''Attendees at the Summit have returned year after year for two reasons: an outstanding conference program where industry leaders talk candidly to their peers about the future of the industry, and exceptional networking opportunities with a senior-level executive audience. We expect this event to sell out as it has every year.''

The summit will include insight from members of the Tier1 Research team, who will offer the latest bottom-up market forecast for all hosting services segments.

Mr. Golding added, ''For four years, the Tier1 Research analyst team has examined the hosting market at our annual conference in Las Vegas. Over the course of those four years, T1R analysts charted the rise of the hosting industry out of the ashes of the telecom crash, including the evolution of SaaS and Web 2.0, and the movement of hosting into the enterprise mainstream. The Hosting Transformation Summit has been built around the idea of making the managed hosting and colocation industries both scalable and profitable.''

Attendees include senior executives and key decision-makers at hosting companies (ranging from sector leaders to startups); leading venture capital, private equity and public-market investors; and CIOs and senior-level enterprise IT managers at companies from a cross-section of industries.

Additional program highlights include:

The impact of cloud computing and hosting in the enterprise

  • The optimal economic model and approach to management success
  • Datacenter real estate - its acquisition, operation and impact
