Digital River Partners with 1UP
May 3, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- E-commerce solutions provider Digital River (digitalriver.com) announced on Monday that it has signed an e-commerce agreement with the 1UP Network (1up.com) a gaming media network owned by Ziff Davis.
Digital River is providing its retail clients access to 1UP Network's game content, while offering its game publishing clients distribution access to one of the Internet's leading game sites, says the company. As part of the agreement, Digital River is delivering its game catalog to the 1UP Network site and managing transactions and downloads for the Digital River catalog sales.
To support the sales from its downloadable game catalog on the 1UP Network site, Digital River says it's providing a range of e-commerce services including catalog hosting, payment processing, game downloads, fraud screening and customer service support.
"To help Digital River accomplish some of its strategic goals in the gaming market, we struck this agreement with a company that has top quality content and is a popular destination site for the gaming community," says Dave Rech, Digital River's VP of account development. "By combining our downloadable game catalog with industry leading content and managing e-commerce transactions on the 1UP Network site, we can gain great visibility within the gaming community and open up new sales opportunities for our clients and our company."
Last week, Digital River sponsored, exhibited and spoke at the International Independent Software Developers Forum Spring 2007 held from April 27 to 29 at the Holiday Inn Moscow - Vinogradovo in Moscow, Russia.
