Dedicated Server Integration Software Firm, Rack-Soft, Releases Amazon Solution

Wilmington, Delaware – (The Hosting News) – November 5, 2008 – Dedicated server development and integration software provider, Rack-Soft, has launched its 4PSA VoipNow solution, designed for Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), the new Amazon Machine Image (AMI) of the Integrated Communications System.

The 4PSA VoipNow software image is built, supported, and maintained by Rack-Soft and allows companies to deploy VoipNow in minutes, taking advantage of the highly available, pay-as-you-grow Amazon cloud offer.

Bogdan Carstoiu, General Manager at Rack-Soft remarked, ”The great advantage of the Amazon cloud is that you will have your application available very fast, without sacrificing availability, security or performance. The running costs and the possibility of sharing information with other systems on the Amazon platform are also important for companies. A common issue end-users face when choosing providers is trust. Amazon offers a high level of trust and their cloud computing initiative has a proven track record.”

VoipNow is an Integrated Communications System designed to provide advanced PBX services, while maximizing the opportunities offered by SaaS. Companies deploying hosted PBX systems will save thousands every year on hardware, licensing and maintenance costs, without sacrificing any feature available with on premises systems. In most cases, SaaS providers deliver all services, but it is not uncommon for the company to manage the system hosted on the infrastructure they trust.

The new VoipNow Amazon Machine Image (AMI) is available for Amazon EC2 customers. In order to install a new machine with VoipNow, the user must only choose the VoipNow image from the list. Support is vital for hosted applications, so starting with 25th October 2008 Amazon EC2 is officially supported under all 4PSA support service levels.

Mr. Carstoiu added, ”The current global economic situation simplifies SaaS adoption because companies must reduce upfront investments and increase their flexibility. Rack-Soft is committed to provide its software products in the packaging formats that simplify deployment in clouds. Currently, VoipNow is also prepared for VMware and Virtuozzo and we consider any platform that makes sense for our customers, from both the technical and economical perspective.”

Customers installing VoipNow in the Amazon infrastructure can choose between over 25 licensing and purchasing options. VoipNow prices start as low as 29USD/month for a subscription that includes technical support.

Rack-Soft specializes in development and integration of server level software that supports major operating systems and platforms. The company delivers solutions that help service providers and enterprises control their infrastructure, automate processes, and improve communications.

The company’s explosive success is based on excellence, innovation, and customer oriented processes. The core of Rack-Soft’s business philosophy is based on ISO 9001 certified quality management system.
