Colocation Expansion Inspires Interxion Copenhagen Data Center Opening

Schiphol-Rijk, The Netherlands – (The Hosting News) – May 28, 2009 – European operator of carrier-neutral data centers, Interxion, in order to meet growing customer demand for high-power-density colocation infrastructure, is expanding the capacity of its Copenhagen center.

Peder Bank, Managing Director for Interxion in Denmark remarked, ”We have expanded our capacity while maintaining and improving an uncompromising focus on service quality and data center security.”

The newly equipped space will be ready for customers from May 2009 and will give access to the data center’s 10 megawatt power supply, supporting exceptionally high-density power configurations of up to 17.5 kW per cabinet. The build-out consolidates Interxion’s position as the leading carrier-neutral data center operator in the Danish market.

Mr. Bank added, ”Whilst growing at approximately 50 per cent year on year in Denmark, we have also recently achieved certification for ISO 27001 information security management systems, as well as maximum ratings for IT security in an independent KPMG report. A major part of our growth comes from system integrators and enterprises that have chosen us for our carrier and vendor neutrality and our constant focus on customer satisfaction.”
