Cisco Hosts Data Center Day

May 7, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Internet networking leader Cisco (cisco.com) announced on Friday is it hosting a multi-city tour aimed at highlighting the relevance of network-based architecture for next-generation data centers.

The first stop of the event "Data Center Day," will be at Hotel Le Meridien in India's IT hub Bengaluru, formerly known as Bangalore, on May 8. As part of this event, Cisco along with representatives from IBM and Emerson will highlight the importance of aligning the data center IT infrastructure to an organization's business objectives.

Some of the topics that will be discussed during the event include 'Network - The Strategic Platform in Your Data center,' 'Building Tomorrow's Intelligent SAN today' and 'Creating an Adaptive IT infrastructure.' At the event, Cisco will also highlight its data center network architecture solutions and touch upon how resources can be dynamically aggregated, provisioned and accessed through an intelligent network by employing consolidation, virtualization and automation technologies.

Data Center Day will also make stops at the Hotel Hyatt Regency in Mumbai on May 9 and Hotel Shangri-La in Delhi on May 11.
