Brocade Offers SAN and FAN Upgrades
June 1, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Network storage solutions provider Brocade (brocade.com) announced on Wednesday it is offering a range of new product and service enhancements that are set to enable greater efficiencies in enterprise data centers and branch offices.
Brocade says these new capabilities address customer challenges in the areas of performance, data protection and virtualization and span the companyÂ’s storage area network, file area network and professional services offerings.
The new Brocade SAN offerings enhance data center management, security, scalability, distance connectivity, virtualization and interoperability, including 10 Gbit/sec Fibre Channel connectivity to the Brocade 4800 Director and enhancements to Brocade Enterprise Fabric Connectivity Manager and Brocade Fabric Manager. Meanwhile, the new Brocade FAN solution capabilities include enhanced branch office solutions for file consolidation and data protection, and the additions of Brocade StorageX 6.0 and Brocade File Lifecycle Manger.
