May 4, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider Aplus.Net (aplus.net) announced on Friday it has rolled out the next stage of its dedicated server hardware offering, continuing a months-long upgrade that includes significantly updated processors.

Aplus.Net has upgraded its Standard, Standard XR, Premium and Premium XR server plans with Intel Core microarchitecture. The Premium and Premium XR now feature an Intel Xeon Woodcrest Dual-Core 5130 and Intel Xeon Woodcrest Dual-Core 5140 processor, respectively.

Aplus.Net Upgrades Dedicated Servers

March 21, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider Aplus.Net (aplus.net) announced on Tuesday it has made significant hardware updates to its dedicated server lineup. The company says the upgrades consist mostly of faster, more powerful dedicated server processors and motherboards.

Most Aplus.Net dedicated server plans, such as the Standard, Standard XR, Standard AMD 64, and Standard AMD XR, have already been upgraded and integrated into the company's Web site and product offerings. The Aplus.Net Standard dedicated server plan now offers an Intel Celeron D processor while the Standard XR now features an Intel Core 2 Duo processor.

Some plans have also received significantly increased bandwidth, and all four are now equipped with 250GB SATA of default configuration disk space. Dedicated server plans, Premium and Premium XR, are still being developed with new versions to be rolled out in the coming weeks. Aplus.Net has just announced a sale on existing Premium and Premium XR plans to make way for the next generation of those servers.

"The Aplus.Net customer base is very knowledgeable and tech-savvy," says Gabriel Murphy, Aplus.Net's president and CEO. "They have high expectations, including a demand for ever-increasing amounts of data storage, and we've worked hard to make sure these upgrades will meet and exceed their expectations. It also symbolizes our new emphasis on providing the ultimate in innovative technological solutions that our valued small business customer base won't find anywhere else. And this is just the first step in a new generation of Aplus.Net technology and software."
