8 to Infinity Upgrades Hosting Plans

May 2, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Singaporean Web hosting provider 8 to Infinity (8.to) announced on Wednesday that it has enhanced its Windows and Linux Web hosting packages to support PHP 5 and MySQL 5.

8 to Infinity is offering the additional feature free of charge and says it will be a standard feature on all new Windows Infinity virtual servers offerings and all Linux virtual servers offerings.

The company says it expects the take up rate will be high as many of the developers it hosts have already expressed their wish for the My SQL 5 and PHP 5 combination. This demand is expected to increase drastically as more and more of the popular open source software packages adopt My SQL 5 and PHP 5, says 8 to Infinity.

"The large number of open sources as well as popular scripts requiring MySQL 5 and PHP 5 results in many requests for 8 to Infinity to support these features, both in our Linux and Windows hosting packages," says Lim Boon Chuan, chief technical officer of 8 to Infinity.
