(The Hosting News) – CenturyLink, a provider of cloud infrastructure, announced on Thursday the availability of new private cloud service AppGrid.

A scalable platform, clients can receive the offering on a month-to-month basis.

The cloud solution is available via savvisdirect – something CenturyLink previously announced for the U.S. market in December.

“With most cloud-based software development efforts, developers must keep track of multiple scripting languages, hardware configurations, and application versions as they hop from one platform to the next throughout the application lifecycle,” commented savvisdirect’s Mike Goodenough in a press release.

He continued, “AppGrid changes the game by simplifying the application development and continuous integration processes into a single, private cloud appliance ecosystem that’s delivered on dedicated hardware, fully accessible via public IP and secured through VPNs.”

Among AppGrid’s features are a rapid deployment model, a scalable infrastructure, preconfigured grid choices and more.
