Global domination requires global reach, and global reach requires global infrastructure. Expanding Infrastructure Globally is the topic of an educational session presented by Charlie Baker of Dyn. The session is in the Management Track of HostingCon Global 2015, and will be presented at 2pm on Tuesday, July 28.
Global infrastructure spending will reach almost $100 billion in 2015, according to an April IDC report. A significant part of the current growth in spending comes from the rush into emerging internet markets like the Middle East and Northern Africa. Selecting the right kind of infrastructure for your hosting needs can be challenging enough without considering global service delivery and regional factors.
Baker will discuss strategies for deploying, expanding, and monitoring global infrastructure and how they are best determined. His position at Dyn, and previous roles at Brix Networks, Brooktrout Technology, and the US Air Force give Bakes a unique perspective on infrastructure growth planning and challenges.
“Go Global Strategy – How to Get it Right” is the one other global market reach-focussed session in the Management Track for HostingCon 2015. Shridhar Luthria will make a case study of ResellerClub to examine how to balance a global approach with local resources.
