There are a few cool new features being introduced for HostingCon Global 2015 in San Diego. Last year the HostingCon Connect tool was launched, and enabled quick and easy exchange of contact information and schedules, facilitating face time and bringing HostingCon’s networking aspect to a new level.
This year for the first time HostingCon will host a series of pre-conference workshops on Sunday, July 26th, the day before the conference begins. Access to all pre-conference workshops is included with every Full Conference Pass. Two of the workshops will feature panel discussions, moderated by Russ Broomell, VP of Operations at GlowTouch Technologies, and GearHost CEO Ryan Kekos.
Leveraging cloud infrastructure with containers will be the focus of an early afternoon session with PhoenixNAP VP of Cloud and Enterprise Services William Bell. Container technology has made huge strides since last year’s HostingCon, and when AWS announced support for Docker in November, the open-source tool moved a step closer to becoming an industry standard.
The disruption of application development by containers in general and Docker in particular has continued with companies refining offerings to allow developers to leverage the technology along with other services, as in Microsoft’s Hyper-V Containers, introduced last month.
The HostingCon pre-conference workshop on containers will get you up to speed on all the aspects and challenges for service providers implementing containers to meet the sweeping developer demand. All of the pre-conference workshops will provide the necessary background for cutting edge topics like containers, adding even more value to the Full Conference Pass, which are currently offered at the Early Bird rate of $100 off.
