Ive been looking around at all the PHP based helpdesks and have not been able to find one that operates and is styled in a similar way to Perldesk.

Im wondering if anyone has seen one that is similar in the way it runs? or if anyone has ever tried porting it to PHP?

SSM ( http://scripts.sheddtech.com/ssm/ ) is pretty good but still doesn't match Perldesk in functionality...

Have you tried searching HotScripts? Also have you tried PHPSupportDesk?

Yeah ive done the rounds of places like hotscripts etc and ive had a look at PHPsupportdesk, however what im after is essentially a PHP port of Perldesk.

Even though EdgePanel is free, its not very user friendly....Thanks for the link though.

Check out the thread on Cerberus and Inflow below. Both very good PHP alternatives.

I would suggest going with cerberus. We have found that to be one of the most robust of the helpdesks.

Thanks for the referral, guys. :)

Snowman30: When you get a minute, I'd love to hear about your experience with Perldesk. What you loved about it, what you wished it could do, and why you've decided to change. (speed, needing more integration options, problems extending in perl, etc.)

I looked over your public helpdesk interface at:
http://helpdesk.alpinehosting.net/

I'd be happy to show you how to use our public user tools to reproduce the same functionality.

Best of luck for the New Year!
