After I pointed to DNS Server of new host, I waited 24 hours and now www.mysite.com correctly points to my new site, but mysite.com without the 'www' part points to the old site. Is this normal? Will it clear up after another day or so?

Probably - just make sure your new host has the A record for mysite.com without the www.
