He used to update his site every week or so .. but now the site hasn't been updated since august of last year :( :( :(
etLux 05-01-2001, 01:14 AM The rumor I heard is that he was kidnapped by Moldavian technology moguls, and is now being forced to program night and day entirely in LISP.
My heart goes out...
DHWWnet 05-02-2001, 12:39 AM lol. really ? :(
etLux 05-02-2001, 01:02 AM Really.
Terrible story... he was grabbed in the middle of the night, stuffed into a sack of goat cheese as concealment, and carried off.
Let these be a lesson to us all.
None of us is safe.

Jeff Rambo 05-02-2001, 03:44 AM Being the journalist that I am, I have all the inside contacts in different "three letter agencies" ...
What's coming down the pipe is that he was indeed kidnapped by Moldavian technology moguls, and Government officials at the Pentagon are currently in contact with High Ranking officers at the Joint Special Operations Command at Ft Bragg, North Carolina in hopes to stage a rescue operation to return the infamous programmer known as Analog X, back to the states.
An official at the Pentagon who wished not to be named, stated, "A hostage rescue team is being assembled to secure the hostage his safety. The team will most likely consist of members of an unknown crack Army unit stationed at Ft Bragg, NC. Due to the location of the hostage is being held in, they will closely be supported by Navy SEAL Team Three with backup assets available to them from the 22nd MEU."
One would assume the "unknown crack Army unit" the Pentagon official referred to would be the Army's counterterrorism unit, 1st SFOD-D, who is simply known as "Delta Force." They're lineage dates back to Vietnam during the operations of "Project DELTA" to the more formal failed Iranian Operation to rescue American Businessman, Kurt Muse. They recently were involved in the largest firefight since Vietnam during the attempt to capture a Somalian Warload in October of 1993 along with members from the 75th Ranger Regiment; whom were quite recently involved in the fight to keep their distinctive headgear, the black beret.
The Pentagon made mention documents detailing the living conditions in Moldova that were passed along to them via the United Nations. The documents can be found at: http://www.un.md/moldova/living_conditions_report.html
From what has been released, one would assume AnalogX is living very well in his new found home. While not 100% confirmed, it is believed that the hostage operation was funded by Software Billionaire, Bill Gates in an attempt to restore stablility to his software programs by way of quality programmers.
Larry Ellison, keep your doors locked!

OK OK OK! So I actually took the time to write a poorly worded news article ... I'm sick of getting paid to write and chatter about politics and needed a lil' fun :)

On a serious note, I haven't received any updates from AnalogX in about 2 or 3 months ...?
etLux 05-02-2001, 04:13 AM Concerning that "unknown crack Army unit" -- a clarification, please: why do they use unknown crack, when they have so many good sources...?
Jeff Rambo 05-02-2001, 04:35 AM Good one ;)
I shall ask the next time I run into the imaginary Pentagon Official. Off the record: his first name is Robert -- last word being Jr. -- Likes to go Downing himself :)
