View Full Version : Looking to buy small-sized webhosting firms with 10-500 clients.

My business partnership has performed a cost/benefit analysis and determined it's more cost-effective to buy out small-scaled webhosting firms (such as resellers or those based on a couple of rented dedicated servers) than to spend our budget on an advertising-based approach, at least in the meantime.

We're looking at buying customers only, not websites, though we would take-over your reseller or dedicated server contract if necessary (because we have our own colocated racks we would dispense of those liabilities within a month or two of the purchase). If you're based off colocated equipment we might be interested in buying that off you (provided it's modern and in warranty) but we would not be able to honour your colocation contract.

We might be interested in your website if it has a good search results ranking and you can demonstrate its effectiveness, but it will have to be something special.

Our rates vary, but we pay between £10 and £20 per client, sometimes more if they're particularly high-value, which often works out at about 8-12 month's equivalent profit in most cases.

We are based in the UK, so almost anyone in the UK and Western Europe is eligible (as we like to keep ping times low for our customers). If you're based elsewhere but have a geographically distributed customer base then we would still be very interested.

As a matter of course, we perform a thorough due-diligence process including signed Non-Disclosure Agreements from all parties. We will need to see financial documents, your books, things like that.

Our systems have a proven reliability track-record and great relationship with our carriers, we also have dedicated customer support staff so if you're a small-time hoster looking to give your customers "a good home" I'm sure you'll find we're the perfect fit.

Drop me a PM or reply in this thread if you have any questions.

Thanks!
