Well, it supposed this is the first time the person is hosting a web site and thus the confusion. Probably assumed that you register a name and then you host it there. It is true that a number of domain name registrar provides free or paid hosting as an additional service when they register the domain and hence the confusion. We know that domain names are portable but that might not all be clear to the newbies and some times, web hosts may provide the 'full service' by registering the domain name for the client upon signing up for a web hosting account. So it is probably easy to get confused if you are new at it. |
