Site5 has a decent price monthly, however the price per GB over the amount is TWELVE BUCKS.
Is there any reason I should not choose Tera-Byte over Site5? They give me $5 GB over, and not to mention 40GB transfer a month, also winds up being 3 bucks a year less. But the space is only 200 megs, something I'm not currently concerned about though.
Any advice?

I talked to them about the space, they do not give more than 200MB per account. I guess they know if they give more then people are actually going to use the 40GB monthly transfer :D

Hercules,
Do a search here on Site5 and Tera-byte there has been some recent posts in regards to service levels and changes. Personally I have not used either one but if I had to choose I would probably go with Site5. Nothing against Tera-Byte, but Matt from Site5 seems to be very publicly active here and handles himself very well and is concerned with his clients needs.
Just my opinion of course.

We've been reviewing our bandwidth overage price lately - that's a figure from when we first began hosting.
We've come up with a new figure, $6/GB, and the website will be updated to reflect this new price shortly.
Thanks for pointing that out.
Regards,
Vince.

I'm down to the same 2 companies also. I like both of them in different ways. site5 seems to have more 'bells and whistles', but tera-byte offers more bandwidth and they're cheaper. I know a few people that host with Tera Byte and they never seem to have any problems.
The only reason I'm looking is because HostRocket's plans don't provide enough bandwidth. Otherwise, I wouldn't budge.

I'm With tera-byte.com... Well 4webspace.com but its managed by the same people. I've had both shared and dedicated with tera-byte and they have always been brilliant. Had a few connection problems a month or so ago but my site users say thats all cleared up for them now.
Had a support ticket the other day answered within 10 minutes which involed me emailing them twice and them emailing me twice. Now if thats not good support what is?

where did you see this? $12 overage seems to be high. You may try to talk to them and confirm this. I wonder this because their overage bandwith for colocation/dedicated server is only $4-5/GB...

Tera-byte has been having problem lately ... lots of people complain here, so you may take this into your consideration.
Also, Site5 will give you CPanel3, and what may really worth to know is that Matt (Site5) is one of the co-developer of CPanel3 so if you need CPanel3, then Matt will be quite helpful in terms of supporting you with any problem in CPanel3.
As of myself, I will start my story with Site5/NAC.net shortly, hopefully today... by colocating my server there...
cheers,

I know you've made up your mind, but just to add: I'm a current Site5 customer (entering my 2nd month), and have had nothing but quality service with a personal touch throughout my stay. I have no complaints, and frequently recommend them to those looking for a new host ...
