Welcome to reality, nothing like this exists...

Out of pure curiosity, how does one offer "unlimited" bandwidth? If you have, say, 20 accounts on a box and 2 of those accounts suck up 60 gigs each, where does that leave the other 18?

I don't know if anyone else is curious, but bandwidth costs me money. :)

But think abotu it this way, their lines may only handle a total of 60GB transfer, so it's all distributed evenly between their clients no matter what. Unlimited is still limited by their line speed regardless.

I see... but it looks to me like a false statement. If I had a website that *required* 60 gigs of data transfer, and I sign up with a host that offers "unlimited" bandwidth, I am likely to get screwed in the end because I'd be fighting for bandwidth with a bunch of other sites.

It's the "unlimited" bandwidth hosts that attract the 40+ gig sites in the first place. They'll be up the creek when they find out the host really can't support them for that low price.

It all just sounds hokey to me.

Most find this out the hard way WAY before the 40gig marker. These unlimitted hosts are out to take advantage of the 'newbie' web master with high hopes.

Being new to these forums, I had to bite my tounge not to make a comment on this offer;)
