I was moving one of my domains from one server to another server using the move account function in WHM, both servers have the same dns entries but different IPs, and I thought there would be no downtime, but that idea doesnt work lol found that out, anyway, luckily this is my own domain so its not a big issue but, I had a tarball of the entire domain, ( i deleted the account off the old box) so I recreated it, unzipped the tarball and put everything back, and brought the site up and it worked. I wake up, now the site is dead. If I try to ping the site, it says host site could not be found! :confused: The site is there on the server?? it can be access by http://ipaddress/~username but not from the main one

what i do wrong?

Did you update your nameservers/DNS? If so, DNS could still be propogating, hence the reason you can't access anything anything via the domain.

update nameservers on what end? everything is an exact copy of what it was before so I'm assuming everything is ok, guess I was wrong. I havent touched the name servers on the registar or anything

please change old IP to new IP of your DNS in your registrar and waiting

Wait for 12-48 hours for DNS propagation. There's nothing you can do about that, it's the way DNS works. If after 48 hours your domain still doesn't work then you might have some problems in your DNS server.

Nevermind I found the problem..... in WHM it didnt create the DNS zone for the domain so I had to manually add it, it works now!
