For uploading files, generally you use FTP. Your you can allow the server access to your local drive in the options of the Remote Desktop client. Then you local drive will appear of the server and you can copy or move files around as usual.

Windows includes only a real simple mail program (IIS SMTP Server). I suggest that you try Mail Enable 4 Standard Edition (http://mailenable.com/standard_edition.asp). It's free and should fit your needs.

I second that: Mailenable is great - and even the free version runs very stable!

Hello,

There is not such server - Windows 2007, there is Windows 2008 or Windows 2003 server. You should talk with your hosting provider and I am sure they will provide you all you need.

A lot of things need to be done before you can host a website.
For newsletter you may want to use bulk mail provider for better mail list management and better email sending/acceptance rate.
