I don't get it... where was the advertising? I saw people discussing what they'd like to see offered by another company, but I didn't see that company coming in here and offering their services.

Or is there some alternate definition of "Advertising" that I'm missing?

I am not saying it is advertising. But I felt that these types of posting is more appropriate at advertising board.

But why? Whose company is being advertised and by whom?

I agree with the rest. The advertising forum "has been setup strictly for companies to promote their services." I dont see where the self-promotion is in the said thread.

But arent polls like these more appropriate at the General Conversations forums? :D

I understand how you feel, but the moderators here are the ones that decided which postings are SPAM and what aren't, and I believe they gave the okay to that post. I don't think we needed a poll on this one. :)

Schweiz, I found you are the only person who basically cleared my doubt. Yeah you are right "advertising forum is for companies to promote themselves."
