Hi everyone
I am planning to set up a non-profit Wikipedia site on tourism using MediaWiki.
It will mainly be text, with very few pics. All pics are stored on tinypic etc.
My Target audience is US/UK/Canada.

Which VPS do you guys recommend?
I am now with Linode, but they only provide 200G bandwith per month.
Thanks a lot!

You should checkout the offer section.
Hosts are not allowed to post there offers.

Good look on your find.

Since you are only hosting a wiki and you are not even hosting the big content locally you really don't need much. You may want to even checkout a solid shared host that way you don't have to worry about managing the VPS.

If you do host all the static content on a remote site 200Gb can go quiet far for php/html files.

Nobody is allowed to post offers here so your best bet will be the offers section if you want companies to reply.

Just starting out i'm sure a Linode would suit you just fine. How much bandwidth are you using currently?

You can always use Linode for the main content combined with a cheap high bandwidth hosting account for image and large files using a subdomain.

If you need more bandwidth check out DMEHosting they've got some pretty good budget linux vps plans that give excellent bandwidth. :)

For a text-only site just starting out, 200gb of b/w is plenty. Really, you can start with just about anything, 512mb ram would be fine, apache, kloxo, and if your site gets popular move up from there. 200gb pushes a lot of text, and even a fair amount of images.
