Many of us use 000domains.com, and Open SRS RSP, and are very happy with them. It's rare that a company is so good that they have no room for improvement, and 000domains seems to be one of those rare ones.
TUCOWS now offers digital web certificates in addition to their excellent Open SRS system. Since Verisign, the owners of that [sarcasm on]wonderful registrar, Network Solutions [sarcasm off] bought Thawte, their only real competition in the past, the competition from TUCOWS is important to us.
Unfortunately, 000domains does not offer the TUCOWs certificates as yet. They are considering it.
Perhaps some of you might want to help nudge them by contacting them at support@000domains.com and asking that they include the certificates in their offerings. Even among Open SRS RSPs they stand out and I think many of us would benefit from getting our certificates through them rather than other RSPs.
I hope some of you will take the time to try to make that possiblity a reality.

I have asked them to keep eye on this forum and see if significant number of people are interested if they offer above mentioned service or not.
Not necessary to email them but put a one line mesaage here if you are interested or not.
We are interested.

Duster, don't you think this post would be more appropriate in the advertising forum?
Overruled - thread stays. All of us who use 000Domains + Tucows in general would benefit from this.

Hello
I was given a free Tucows/Entrust certificate as part of the launch promotion.
ENtrust were unable to accept the CSR from our server (Apache)
The process went backwards and forwards to their support people and I tried issuing new CSR's according to their instructions but it still was not accepted by their registration system.
In the end I went back to Thawte and got one there without any difficulty.
It seems that Entrust/Tucows can't handle CSR's generated through Webhost Manager.
This would make it more complicated to do the certs for resellers clients where we currently mail the CSR directly to the reseller.
Also, the Tucows certs are $100 trade price which is the same as Thawte's trade price and with a more complicated system.
On balance we decided not to go with Tucows.
I actually still have the $100 certificate code (I think) so if anyone wants a free certificate...........
Gordon
i can use one, a penny saved is a penny earned!

Sorry
Duster got there first.
Very quick off the mark.
Did you get the e-mail OK Duster?
Report back on what happens.
As I said, the process did not give me much confidence in the certificate issuing process, but perhaps someone else can get it to work.
There must be other OpenSRS resellers on this board who got the free certificate.
I wonder if any of them managed to get it to work?

We actually got the free cert as well. No problems getting it setup and, if 000domains.com is watching, we've had alot of interest from customers wanting certs.
I think they should offer them to their customers. Well, worth it, in my opinion.
