Hello

Anyone here experience with this problem.
I get in trouble when I try to refill my enom reseller account using credit card. Everytime I try to fill my credit card info, enom alyways tell me that there's something wrong like that

Error: An invalid code was returned during the credit card transaction.
Please verify your credit card information before trying again.

Is this something here ? From your experience, how many hour or may be days enom will approved my account ?

Please help with this problem ...

Hey,

Are you using amex? if yes don't use because their billing system has major issues with accepting amex cards. if its not amex your best bet is to give them a call. i am using their pdq and all the time customers contact me asking why their credit card is not being accepted. a problem we all have to live through.

Hope that helps :)

Sometime's eNom has problems with their transaction system.. it produces errors as a result of slowness or whatever.

Maybe wait a few hours and then try again?

Is the credit card address a PO Box?

I had the same problem when I attempted to refill my account. Ultimately, I had to call them and they did it manually.

They said according to the new Visa rules, they can not verify a PO Box address.

However, beware. Even though they are denying the transaction, it does put a hold on the funds (atleast it did in my case). I had to call the bank and ask them to remove the hold, which they would not do until they talked to enom because authorization was given. My bank handled it quickly with a three-way call, but it was a pain to go through since the old method was so easy.

I'm not using PO BOX
I can't find about new Visa rules on enom website, can you give me URL ?

I lived outside US, what is the best way to solve this problem ?

They did not show me a URL. I was told about the new Visa rules over the phone.

If you call support they should be able to charge your credit card manually and it posts immediately.

It wouldn't work for me last night either.
I first tried our business VISA account that has a PO box. If I don't fill in the po box, the address won't verify at all and the charge won't go through, so I had to. That is the address the business is registered to, plus that's where the bank statements and bills go to. It didn't work.
Then I tried my personal VISA with my home addy because, again that's where the bank statements go. It didn't work, either.
I was about to try my Amex, but instead I tried my other personal MasterCard at another bank, and it finally worked.
So in conclusion, I believe it was something on eNom's end.
I sure hope VISA doesn't start denying anything with a po box, because that is the address that goes with the VISA card. It would be kind of useless, then wouldn't it?

Had a problem yesterday from UK, wouldn't accept a UK postcode - pretty poor system!

The primary address for my Visa is a PO Box as well and I had to have someone manually do it.

But in my situation, the authorization went through on Visa's end, even though eNom was not showing it. So I had to go to some trouble to get those authorizations deleted.

Which was the wrong time for that to be happening - right before Christmas. :)

Next time I am going to try PayPal. If that works, then I will be good to go. I do wonder how long it takes to post to your account using PayPal. Anybody know?

armen,

Yes, we have face same problem last few days. Enom told us that, this is because they have blocked IP from high risk fraud country, like indonesia, Pakistan and etc. Maybe your IP is blocked by their system.

Then, I have used US server to pay and everything work fine.

Yes, enom has blocked users from Indonesia, Pakistan and etc.
This is high risk of fraud from those country. As you know, fraud cause us loss a lot, that's why they have make decision to blocked.

We also have received a lot of cc fraud from those country.

Not all fraud are actually really a fraud. Base on my research as one of the resellers in Malaysia, most of my customers dont know that they have to enter the whois information exactly like the one appears in their credit card statement. Some of them also buy on behalfed of others using their credit card. So all the transaction was rejected.

so the conclusion here is ENOM, PLEASE GUIDE YOUR CUSTOMER HOW TO MADE A TRANSACTION VIA CREDIT CARD! I CANT SEE ANY INFORMATION SHOWS STEP2 BY STEP TO PAY OR REFILL YOUR ACCOUNT VIA CREDIT CARD. DONT PUT THE TROUBLE ON US. WE ARE THE CUSTOMERS. YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND YOUR CUSTOMERS. AND ALSO PLEASE CHECK, SOMETIME DIFF. COUNTRY, THEIR UNDERSTANDING FOR CC PAYMENT IS DIFFERENT. THE ADDRESS FORMAT MIGHT ALSO BEING DIFF. A CITY FOR ENOM MIGHT BE CONSIDER AS A PARK FOR US. BLA BLA BLA.... I THINK I AM GETTING TIRED.

BTW, SAME LIKE ALL OF YOU, MY EMAIL HAD NOT BEEN ANSWERED.

Well, in my case, the bank called the next day, and asked me about the attempted transactions. I said "Yes, it was me" Two days later when I tried to order a domain using the company card with po box, it went through. Of course a couple days previously it went through, even though I used our customers name and addy as the registrant. So the problem was either eNom, or my bank, I'm not sure which, only glad that I have more than one CC, and that my bank is on top of things.
I swear my bank calls me about once a month to verify charges on that card, and / or my personal one. Some how it doesn't bother me a bit.

Probably a CC glitch, one mistake in CC form filling and you get into the security areas.

I'm still waiting for enom to refill my account. It's a Visa card (None-US) - used it 4 times before, all ok'ed fast - but now the same card at enom is takeing hours to clear.

I'd rant a lot more - but I do get CC fraud orders myself.

Update:
Yesterday I was told I had a fraudulent order, and that while the domain could not be deleted, the CC was refunded, the commission subtracted, ect.
That was the domain I bought for someone else using my card.
Upon checking, the billing info is mine, but the other contacts are the guy, so I have to change all the info back to me, then refill my account so eNom can get their money, and push the domain back to the guy. I've already emailed him. This won't affect his functionality in the meantime, but what a bite in the butt!
It was funny reading the letter about the fraudulent transaction though. I wish they would have just asked me before determining I was frauding myself. :D

Hi,

i have received feedbak from enom. they siad that i have topay via wire transfer. that will cause me about15 us dollar pertransaction. my enom price is us dollar 7.15 and if i have to pay 15 dollar just for thre transaction fees, i think i betre switch to onlinenic.com

i have register with them yesterday and only waiting for me to fax them the form. atleast they want to verify my credit card first before they accept me as their resellers. so this can prevent any fraud in the future.

actually i also facing the same problem . i bought using my own credit card with enom, they rejected my registration and put it as fraud. funny, i do put my personal detail for the registreation.I think thier system or the protocol they conduct for determining the CC status is no that smart.

what a waste! i have to buy domain for my customere from my competitor that is onlinenic resellers. I tod him that i had forgot my password and thats why i acnt buy by myself from enom. lol, i am ashame to tell them that i acnt refill my account/
