Who can trust info in this board? It appears that when the owner himsefl is a webhosting company, that he can skew info to reflect pretty much whatever he wants. I think that this conflict of interest should be known, and the realization that this is nothing more than a promotional tool for :

I am sorry I don't see Robert skewing anything on here.

Sometimes I wish he would take control of this board and skew it a little but it pretty much goes in what ever direction it wants to.

I think Robert has done a great job of keeping this board open and letting competiors and anyone that wants to have a say here.

I don't think it is any secret around here that Mr. Marsh a.k.a. Headsurfer runs these forums. However, I very, very, very seldom ever see any direct manipulation of the information here to the advantage of EV1 or Rackshack.

Its definitely a promotional tool, no one disputes that.

If you been here long enough, you would know that Robert is a professional and although WHT currently belongs to him, he makes no effort to be bias on this board.

From what I see, he takes non-executive role in administering this board. This have not changed before and after he bought it over. The only thing that is changed is that it is currently hosted on Rackshack server. That I can see is the only change.

You could promote any other web hosting company, state any shortcomings of Rackshack (provided you have proofs to back you up), they do not get censored.

No, there is no conflict of interests here. If there is, you will not see any other Rackshack competitors in here. It is a place for the free-flow of information and it works fine.

I don't think this forum is skewed in any way, shape, or form. I've always experienced Robert as levelheaded, fair, and open to all opinions.

I am not disputing that I am New, and really its amazing how close you people are to the guy. Im assuming that all of you have a vested interest in his company. I would like to hear from people who aren't working for him or using his service.

Give the man a break..... This forum is just amazing, where else can you get opinions of 10,000 other hosts within a day (usually one in a few minutes), find good hosts, free advertising, ect...

I have never used Rackshack do not own any stock or have any vested interest in the company and I still think you are just a pissed off client of his trying to stir trouble.

I do not use, work for, or know anyone at RackShack. But I was here just before the changes, and now, I see very little difference. Maybe some different advertisers, but that would have happened anyway. And if you look at it, the server for a forum such as this has to be hosted somewhere, so what exactly is your point? If you don't want to be here and this site if not useful, delete your bookmark and move on.
I know some of the same "mods" that were here before are still the main mods now, not much changed. EV1/RackShack still allows many other hosts to but up big ads at the top, in fact, maybe more now than before, or I just joined at a slow time, I am not sure.

Yes, you are new. People are closer to him than you. A wonder since he's been on the forum for a while now, posted, bought it, everyone knows him (for the most part). Then there's you, first post, demanding that a "conflict of interest" be known, yadda yadda yadda, posting addresses, etc.
