Hi,

I am not sure how to put this, but let me try.

If you have 100 boxes (servers) with VDI, or DI, you can become a hosting company like WizardsHosting or Tera-byte. and then you can offer shared hosting (many domains on a single server) or dedicated hosting (one account per server).

If this is true, what's the difference between getting 100 dedicated accounts from WH and getting 100 servers from VDI or DI (If you can)?

Thanks.

A big part is price, I'd agree, though that isn't the only thing. First, Tera-byte owns their NOC, so they are in a different postion than Wizards (for the moment, as Carlos is building a NOC). Second, when you lease the server yourself, you have more control over just about everything than when you resell packages. More headaches too, but that comes with the territory.

You can set up whatever account you want, often allow adult sites when if you resell you can't. It opens up other possibilities, at the cost of more responsibilies.
