Right now my signal strength and link quality are kind of low.
They are;
signal strength - 66%
link quality - 66%

Does anyone have any tips on how to improve these?

Oh man all these questions. Nah, I'm in like a house. It's a two story house with the router being on the 1st floor, and this computer being on the second. The area around the house is kind of clear. Not really and trees are houses to close by.

Well, I don't really know as I just got it all hooked up today. Lately they've been fluctuating around 50-80.

Well I think thats pretty good :) My cousin has a linksys wireless router in his basement connected to his basement computer. And he has his brothers computer on the second story floor. He usually gets 33% and thats between 2 floors, not 1. I think your alright. I hate linksys though (Just thought I would put that there) NETGEAR!!! :D

heh, we had a NetGear router (wasn't wireless), it blew up though. Along with a bunch of other stuff when our house got hit by lightening. Oh well, got a ton of insurence mon-ay for that.

That's pretty good actually... I set up a few wireless networks in schools (cinderblock walls) and through just one wall the signal would drop to about 50% Through two walls and you couldn't hardly get access at all. That was 802.11a though, not b. B is slower but has better reception through walls and other obstacles.

Are you getting good speed though? If you are don't worry about it... :)

Netgear is rock solid. Signal strength depends on the structure but homes here in Florida have rather thin walls. About 50 ft away and through 3 doors the signal is in the 80% to 90% range.

I'm getting better speed than I was getting with my 56k, that's for sure. I'm downloading at about 70-120KBPS. I don't think it's too bad for 768/128 DSL.

You must be using 802.11a

That's acually great speed for .a - I wouldn't worry about the %... you're not going to get much faster no matter what you do.

Phenomenal range inside, outside, upstairs, downstairs, anywhere.
