Fiber 04-29-2001, 02:28 AM You are asking for alot, for little.
Probably going to have to be more, and will.
edude 04-29-2001, 06:45 AM No way you could get it that cheap, at least $375 a month and $400 setup fee :)
eva2000 04-29-2001, 07:26 AM well venturesonline.com has the exact same config you're after for US$300 setup + 300/month
Jedito 04-29-2001, 06:01 PM Yep, but they need 2 to 4 weeks to setup the server and I need it faster than that.
Planet Z 04-29-2001, 06:50 PM How much does webhost manager & cpanel3 cost? Even better, what's the website for them? I tried http://www.cpanel3.com but it seems to be down.
Josh
Jedito 04-29-2001, 07:06 PM $200 Monthly
ezpzhosting 04-29-2001, 07:17 PM when you ue VDI, the webhost manager/cpanel package is only $25/month i think.
also, their site is www.cpanel.net not .com
Jedito 04-29-2001, 07:25 PM https://www.vdi.net/cgi-bin/cpanel.pl
dektong 04-29-2001, 07:25 PM CPanel/WHM will cost you an additional cost anywehere from $199/mo all the way down to ... free!
$199/mo -> normal price. Go to any NOC and buy a CPanel/WHM license and in general this is how much you will be charged.
$149/mo -> Weinbar.com
$100/mo -> pwebtech.com, serverhost.com (plusweb.com)
$35/mo -> Burst.Net
$25/mo -> most hosts at VDI (including VDI itself).
$0/mo -> Site5.com special offer!
cheers,
:beer:
Planet Z 04-29-2001, 07:25 PM So you don't have much choice other than to get a server from VDI I suppose?
(Or one of those other resellers)

Better yet, try Site5.com which uses NAC.net (not VDI).
And of course, take a look at my signature below ;)
cheers,

Jedito 04-29-2001, 07:42 PM Bandwith?
dektong 04-29-2001, 07:48 PM are you asking me? :)
Bandwith starts from 10GB, using average (not 95th percentile) measurent.
For those who wonder (and some have already emailed me), I don't represent any company (not formally yet). These are some of my servers that are not being used as planned so instead of having them sitting around, it would be better for me to let people use it. At this price, server will be colocated at Site5.com (Nac.net) utilizing their special Cpanel3/WHM offer.
Cheers,
:beer:

ezpzhosting 04-29-2001, 08:25 PM Jedito,
the $199 thing for VDI is a lifetime price, if you buy from cpanel people themselves, price is $25/month.

You can't buy Cpanel/WHM. It's not for sale... So the rate you quoted is monthly. Believe me on this :D

ezpzhosting 04-29-2001, 09:57 PM "Q: I've heard that some people are only paying $25 a month. How can I get the CPanel And WebhostManager for only $25 a month?
A: Host with VDI.net!! All customers hosted with VDI get the CPanel and Webhost Manager for only $25 month. (This only applies to servers hosted at VDI only.)"
taken from www.cpanel.net/faq.html
i think you rent it from them, so theirs should be the right price?
