StephenRS 04-29-2001, 12:41 AM All their pages, including bookmarks I have to WHOIS are broken. I'm in the middle of a very important domain transfer ... UGGH! It looks like they just put up a "planned maintenance" page. Someone there must be reading this board. :) Martie 04-29-2001, 01:00 AM That seems strange to me? I would have thought there would be notice of maintenance if it was scheduled? I was accessing their site this afternoon around 6pm (CST) Geezh!! This isnt helping a client of mine in trying to get her domain transfer done, UGH!! SI-Chris 04-29-2001, 01:08 AM Originally posted by Martie That seems strange to me? This isnt helping a client of mine in trying to get her domain transfer done, UGH!! You would also have thought (if it was "scheduled" maintenance) they would have put up a target time when they would be back online. I've noticed most areas of their site are working now, despite the "down for maintenance" home page. http://www.networksolutions.com/en_US/site-map/ StephenRS 04-29-2001, 01:23 AM Whois again works, but front page down... http://www.networksolutions.com/cgi-bin/whois/whois avara 04-29-2001, 05:24 AM Network Solutions is the ***** of registrars. Don't ever deal with them unless you have to. There are many alternative registrars which offer better prices, and more service. SECUREDNETWORKS 04-29-2001, 05:37 AM They seem up on my end. m6.net 04-30-2001, 01:08 AM It is first time I found that network solution was down. superiorhost 04-30-2001, 02:44 AM Get used to it. You will often find NSI up, and their own whois down, or the other way around. Their site has been verry unstable this last 8 months or so. It is nothing new... that is why Millions won't use them anymore. Tim L  vizi 04-30-2001, 12:09 PM NSI is absolutely the worst registrar out there. They use too many gestapo tactics. And their whois is the most unstable in the industry. Its a like a yoyo. Up one minute, down the other! vizi 04-30-2001, 12:11 PM Ohh, and one more thing. You would think the biggest and most profitable registrar would have the best system in place. The majority of NSI clients don't have a control panel yet. Only their "new" clients have them. I had a client of mine contact NSI and ask about the control panel, and NSI told him they wanted $30 for him to be able to use it. m6.net 05-01-2001, 01:10 AM Today I received a cc of an email sent to "http://www.nic.us" by one of our client. In brief the message was that - this is his third request to transfer his .us domain. He filled the necessary form three times from last several weeks with no result. Please help. I will personally try to contact these people regarding this matter and see how it goes. any experience with .us nic. So far I know these domains are registered by Network Solutions only.       |
