Anyone here have experience with www.Version12.net or www.Tera-Byte.com ? I would appriciate it if you shared it with me.

Tera-byte has been discussed numerous times on this forum, as well as over at sitepointforums.com. You might do a search on either forum for them. Version12 I've never heard of, nor have I seen them mentioned anywhere in my travels (note that I've been away from this forum for over six months, so that doesn't apply to this forum).

Im with version 12, but only been there for 1 day or so. ;) allan's been quite helpful and actually replies my emails.. haha ... today has been a horrible day.
vBulletin.com hasnt replied any of my mails and stargateinc.com havent too ...... i must be pretty unlucky ;( both were very important . but somehow my business doesnt seem that important to them.

To be fair, im pretty happy with weinbar myself, (i can get them on ICQ most of the time ) except one time when the tech said mod_gzip was installed on the server , but it actually wasnt, even after i mailed a request...

WeinBar don't answer any of my emails. I actually had an experience like you. The DBI was not installed and they were saying it was. And now I'm having problems with SendMail.

The thing is I'm redoing my site and I was very excited. Then these things happen and you can't continue your work and it kind of takes your excitement away and the project never gets finished because of this. :(

Also I have a RaQ3 with 4WebSpace myself, but I havn't used their tech support much. I also would like to get some info from people on their shared servers.

I know what you mean .. i was so excited at getting my own server with version12 .... and the support was actually good. - uuallan treats me like im actually alive.

then stargates email suddenly isnt working at all. I tried to change my DNS settings ... and i get a message "ERROR: please contact the SYS admin" ...... i sent in emails each with a report of test emails i made to the account which not being able to get through ... guess what .... no reply at all.

add to the fact that i used my stargate email to buy the license for vBulletin ..... and i cant even look at my license now, i have no idea what my customer number for vBulletin is .. sent in a support ticket to them asking them to send the license info to another email .... and guess what .... no reply at all.

That really sucks. I hope things work out for you soon.

I just found out Tera-Byte.com offers the maximum of 200MB per shared account. I guess it's just a sell technique that they offer 40GB/month. There are hardly any sites with 200MB or less that use 40GB/month.

I'm still waiting for Version12.net to email me with an offer (hopefully a good one).

Oh, just got another email from Tera-byte.com. They say I can sign up for as many account that I want. That's cool, might just do that :)

Hehe, one good thing about version12 is that supposedly they dont host more than 50 accounts per server
