I have been using a dedicated RAQ3 for the past couple of months(from 4webspace.com),but my site needs will go over its "capabilties" in the next month or two,so its time for me to search for a "stronger" server.

Anyhow,i have considered a raq4 from rackshack with 256MB,but after reading some of the recent reports about problems with them i got a little worried and decided that i may have to look else where.

My best choise it appears,is going for a dedciated linux box, however the problem is i have no idea how to admin a sever:(.
The only thing i ever did with my RAQ3 is installing the latest patches from cobalt and it worked fine.
So here is my question, what do i need to know in order to run a linux server ? how can i keep it up-to-date regarding security and such? i pretty much left my raq alone expect for the patches ,will i be able to do the same with a dedicated linux?
If so, what hosts do you recommad?
(my needs are about 100-150GB traffic, and support for SSI and cgi)

Thanks in advance for any help!

Thanks for thos resources,i look into them.

Also,i have read that their are several CP's similar to the RAQ3 cp.(webmin,WHM,Cpanel), what is the diffrence between them? and i can i use them to keep my software updated without too much problems?
And again, any hosts that you recommand that i should look into?
