Hi,

I use webalizer 2.0 on my Raq4 and two days ago the logs on my main site were not generated. On the others it was fine. Then suddenly today, all the logs are blank!!!!! and have started over from scratch starting yesterday? What's up? Does the RAQ4 clear the logs after a while? I get about 30000 hits a day. The other sites are fine but they don't have that many hits.

Any ideas to why this has happened? I never touched the server during this period!

thanks

OK, I found the problem. The Raq has split the log into an backup file and compressed it to 2MB instead of 50MB and started a new log file!

So now I have one new "web.log" file and one "web.log1.gz" file! How can I change this setting? Is it possible to let webalizer "remember" the old stats?

Thanks

Hi again,

I am trying to add my lost old statistic to my webalizer!

I thought that I would activate incremental proccessing and then delete my stats directory. Then I would change the gzipped old file to web.log and run webalizer. Then I would re-run webalizer with the recent log and it would add on to the old stat!
Anybody think this would work?

How can I manually run webalizer, I can't get it to run manually!

thanks

To manually run Webalizer just execute the perl script from the command line. Depending on your installation, your webalizer script may be in a different place... For us, it's just:

cd /usr/local/bin/
./webalizer.pl

Also you have to run it as root...

I've come across the same problem. I moved the script so it runs after the logs split (per directions by errrr... Felix I think), but only get 1 day stats. Better than noe, which *was* the case, but still not the solution I want.

Really annoying.
