Just wanted to know what exact role does CPanel has and what exact role WHM has? Also how much they integrate with basic Redhat Linux installation? Can I setup another MTA like qmail on CPanel or any other software which can be used in sync with CPanel? WHM is the administrative component which is usually controlled by the server owner (you) and for your resellers (restricted access). The Cpanel end is for your web host clients to 'manage' their site.
