I currently host with them. So far, the only small problem I noticed was slow response for the week of 4/23. I thought they oversold their bandwidth, but it seems to be back to normal now.

Their control panel is amazing! All sorts of administrative tools to take control of your site.

I'm happy with LiquidWeb

You might find these search results (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/search.php?action=showresults&searchid=8604&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending) interesting if you haven't consulted the Search function yet.

Well I have three in mind now Site5, Liquid Web, and Wizzards Hosting.........

:D Site5 has a good deal but the TOS is kinda harsh....no hosting sites(like a friends site), no linking to sites that may contain porn and stuff......BUT it seems to be the better choice over Liquid Web....

:) Liquid Web has a good plan and thier TOS is good(for the reasons above) but I have searched the forum and found that they dont have a very good rep...some say they are great and some say they are not....

 Wizzards hosting prety much has the same things in the TOS as Site5...and well....i jus dont care for the plans....

No Offense to any of the hosts listed.....just trying to find the right one....

theres nothing more frustrating than taking the time to write an email and getting no reply for months ;) If you share this attitude, then go with whoever replies you

Liquidweb is not technically strong in my experience.

They also don't seem to have any weekend coverage any more - if they ever did.

If you don't expect to be contacting them for anything, and plan to run a simple site with html and graphics files, their prices are good for the services offered.

I've been told they oversell their servers, but so far I've not seen that as a problem. They don't communicate proactively with their customers, so the current VDI problems, or numerous downtime events over the last month are simply mysteries.

If you expect to do anything that will require direct technical support from Liquidweb, you will be disappointed if their service quality does not improve.

I've posted a number of help desk tickets that have been answered either incorrectly, or "we don't support that," or similar put-off answers. I don't believe they are trying to put me off, I just don't think their technical staff is very sharp.

I've pre-purchased a year's service with them, and will probably not stay on after that year is up. If their service improves, I'll stay, but with the current level of support, I'll probably try someone else when my year is up.

During the last month (April) my site at Liquid web was down almost every day for 1-2 hours. BTW, right at this moment it's down again. :(
When I write to support, I get a reply (the next day, when everything is working again, of course!): "Your site is up now".
Very annoying...

I have two sites with liquidweb.com
(http://www.honden.be and http://www.k9site.com) and they are both on different servers.

I noticed some problems with one of the servers last month, while the other one had no downtime that I noticed, I contacted them about that and they confirmed that there was a problem with the first server and they were rebuilding it. In the past week I noticed no downtime.

Their support is quite fast, but then I'm quite experienced and don't need support that much, so I don't know how they hold up when you start sending in tons of techy questions.

They offer tons of options and bandwidth and is a pretty decent host.

Here's a typical example of my interaction with Liquidweb tech support.

-Ticket logged 4/14

"When I use the control panel to look at my web statistics, the version of Analog you are running shows 1.7M successful requests. When I download Analog from their website, and download the raw log files, I show 250k requests. Please fix Analog."

-Tech support 4/16:

"We are in the process of upgrading this, however I would advise to keep using webalizer for the time being." Call closed.

I don't want to use Webalizer, I want to use Analog. It's installed on the server, it's in my control panel, the old beta they are running is simply generating incorrect reports. They are running 4.90beta3. Since then, 4.90b4, 4.91b1 and now 5.0 has been released (today). I hope they were just waiting for 5.0...

I placed the call on the 14th of April. I know it's only the 1st of May, but I suspect it will be broken for weeks. I installed Analog on my old site in about 30 minutes.

Is this a critical problem? Absolutely not. Responding to the help desk request should not result in the call being closed however.

All my calls are closed with the helpdesk - even if they were unable to solve my problem.

Just trying to help you get calibrated so you know what to expect when you post a ticket.
