SevenL_Will 09-21-2010, 11:07 AM Herry, it really depends on your requirements.
What kind of server are you looking for?
CKGroup 09-21-2010, 11:07 AM Do you have specific requirements such as Disk, Bandwidth, Price range?
harry127 09-21-2010, 11:33 AM i need 2gb space and my budget is 20-25$ per year.
Jennifer Robinson 09-21-2010, 11:53 AM Since you want to host asp.net, you would need to go for a web hosting company that offers shared windows web hosting.
Further based on your other requirements such as disk space, bandwidth, mssql database requirements, you can decide which to shortlist and go for.

I don't think your budget is going to get you what you want.
Sugarhosts 09-21-2010, 12:53 PM Your budget is too low to your need.
Mattpg 09-21-2010, 01:08 PM asp.net can be a bit costly. ive searched for around 10 minutes and could only find ones with 5$ month. the reason is there are not many windows host. They can be good but linux is usually the best choice, therefore , from what ive seen there is not much choice in windows host.

Not to mention the licensing costs for a Windows server.
ecloudhosting 09-21-2010, 05:12 PM Unfortunately you will have to raise your budget a bit, Windows hosting is a bit more than Linux, bump the budget up a bit and you can get a nice package through most reliable Windows hosts :)
jayaic 09-21-2010, 06:28 PM I agree, with everyone here you really need to look at maybe increasing your budget on this
Barry - WH 09-21-2010, 06:31 PM Not to mention the licensing costs for a Windows server.
This really is one of the main reasons for the cost difference.
Mattpg 09-21-2010, 08:19 PM besides unless its really a need, i wouldnt suggest a windows server. Why not code it in php and html, it is the web standard now. correct me if im wrong

Wrong. :)
There's nothing any more or less "standard" about PHP, as compared to ASP.NET or some others.
Both are modern languages to build from.
But I'd still agree to use Linux for low budgets and html/PHP only type sites.
