I was looking into theese:

http://rackshack.net/english/celeron1_3.asp

For comparison, I see the top two,

Do BOTH include redhat?
The one on the left says

"Plain Red Hat Linux 7.2"

and the one to the right of it says

"Ensim WEBppliance 3.1"

If they both do include redhat, what's the difference (other then ensim's web appliance)

RedHat is the base operating software.

Ensim is a control panel which is installed on top of Redhat and which customizes many system files.

The first one is a Plain Redhat 7.2 system meaning you get Redhat 7.2 installed - that's it. People choose this system who want to install their own control panel like CPanel, or who don't need or want a control panel at all - for example if there will only be one main site on the server and they want to do everything via ssh rather than via a web based control panel. The advantage of the plain redhat system is that you don't have to worry about breaking Ensim with updates so you can generally apply security patches right when they are released and use up2date without fear of breaking the control panel.

The second one includes an unlimited domain license for Ensim and has Ensim Webppliance installed over Redhat 7.2. That allows you to resell hosting packages or allow others to control things like email accounts via their control panel and automates the process of adding accounts and domains to the server. So you get a fairly good control panel for free for adding accounts/domains, but are locked into using Ensim rather than another control panel and have to be careful updating and applying security patches not to break something Ensim requires. If you are not familar with Ensim, go to the ensim web site and check out their demo.

I think the only difference is the addition of Ensim. :) The first one's just plain Linux, the other one includes Ensim, the administration control panel.

What i'm wondering, can you use Ensim to host 500 web sites and not have to pay a penny? If you check out Ensim's site, they have some pretty strict licensing fees.

You can host unlimited domains with the Rackshack's Ensim license.

Sweet. I'm going to make that my hosing server then. Keep my current one as an email and web based email server. I might have to sweet talk my partner a little.
