So I sign up with rackforce in august and think "wow 450 gigs of bandwidth for $170 dollars a month that is a great deal" For awhile I was satisfied with it then the server started to go down. It went down four days in a row(It has gone up and down before that as well as afterward) the first time it was unplugged then it was power strip then the network then blah blah blah(it all runs together when there is to much downtime) not once did I get an email about network downtime or maintenance.

About a month later I notice i was getting about 30k a second download speeds. When I signed up I was told that I would get a dedicated 1.5 Mbps line. So I call tech support and ask what the problem is they told me there wasn't one, I told them I had a dedicated 1.5mps line he told me I was wrong. What happened was they threw me on a 1.5Mbps line with several other people even though The only reason I signed up with them is the dedicated line. It stated in my contract a dedicated connection. Would that make them dishonest?

So that is when I decide to go get my own hardware and colo it with Mzima(Great company, awesome bandwidth, great price and no downtime) then cancel rackforce.

I was billed for the server on December second and cancelled on the 6th they shut the server off on the 7th?? Even though I paid for the month of December they shut my server off 5 days after I paid. OK no problem I call up and tell them that I would like a partial refund as I paid for the entire month but did not receive it.(Their TOS states they do not issue partial refunds.) They refused to give me the refund. So now they are facing my full refund plus the chargeback fees.

This has been a word of warning and a public service announcement.

If it states a dedicated 1.5 MBIT line in your contract, your chargeback could be the least of their worries. You could nail them on the wall for breach of contract.

It does state in the TOS as well that you should cancel 24 hours before the next billing day or you will be charged again. I don't see how you will get a charge back according to their TOS.

did you even read? he has a problem with the server being shut off when he still had more than 20 paid days to go, not being billed for another month.

I paid for a month I didnt get it. It doesnt matter what the TOS says. I work at the bank that my card is issued from and the legal department are the ones that told me to do a chargeback. So im not worried about it not going through.
