Yeah, I read a howto on their board on how to install Debian on your box. That's pretty insane, if you ask me. :)

Cool though, but I wouldn't do it. I know I'd mess something up along the way. :)

i think it would be great if rackshack offered bsd boxes , the worst thing they can tell you is no , or that maybe its coming soon?;)

check the rackshack forums there is a posting on how to do this.
Rackshack though wont do it probably because they dont have the time and expertise

but since they won't install it, i doubt they'll even help you along the way. they don't even really help you with roothat let alone another OS. if you did mess up, their answer would most likely be, "$75 for a reformat."

RackShack does not do custom installs of ANYTHING, even their Red Hat 7.2 installs are standardized as they are all made from the same image.

As for the pricing Brendan, it's $75 for a priority, $29 for a regular 24 hour restore.
