I see all these hosts that offer millions of preinstalled scripts and bulliten boards and shopping carts for e-commerce packages...

Do you think that makes someone choose you over someone else? Or do people prefer to be able to chose they're own scripts? Just curious if I should offer preinstalled scripts.

Also, just a minuet question... JSP allows for Java Applets, right? What program would you want to allow for JSP?

They can be marketed well and could be a deciding factor for potential clients. I've seen some hosts make a big deal over them and they seem to do ok. Problem is, if you supply folks access to those scripts, that you're expected to do tech support for those scripts as well. :eek3:

As far as individual hosting goes, I don't have any clients that can even spell 'script' let alone run one. :)

I can write Perl and shell scripts myself, so 'pre-installed' did not affect my choice when I went shopping for a reseller account. There are dozens (if not hundreds) of script archives around. Having some already on the server might save 5 minutes...
