I have seen 'DJCN' flying around when talking about NAC.net

Exactly what is it?

It is called DCJN, it is a sub-set of NAC's primary network. It is a cheaper version of NAC's network.

dcjn rocks! Thanks to its vast peering, you won't see any significant differences between dcjn and pure nac bandwidths.

Well considering they are both exactly the same at the moment, I'd hope you wouldn't see any significant differences ;)

what i don't get is how a company like nac can maintain peering... i'd figure they'd be in the same boat as cogent (with very 1-sided b/w usage stats)... hmm... ???

I worked with them in the past and yeah, above statement sums it up pretty well ;)

IRC 78% of NAC traffic goes directly via peering arrangments with the rest distributed amoungst multiple transit providers. With DCJN Cogent is the only transit provider, hence you will see approx 22% of traffic go via Cogent.
